

The Masson and Marti families are heartbroken by the loss of their beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and daughter. Pamela “Pam” Masson, age 71 and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 after a courageous battle against cancer with her husband Michael at her side.
Pamela Ann Marti Masson was the oldest daughter of Jo Ellen Smith Marti of Ruston LA and George Junior Marti of Warren, Ohio and her step-mother, Mary Marti of Madisonville LA. Pam was born and raised in Ruston and Covington, later moving to Baton Rouge where she met the love of her life, Michael.
She is survived by her husband and cherished children, Matthew Masson and Elizabeth Masson; and sisters, Taama Marti Forasiepi (John) and Roan Marti Baker (Kelly); She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews, brother and sister in-laws, and great friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
“Miss Pam” was an accomplished Montessori teacher, instructing many generations of children in the Montessori Method during their key developmental years at La Printaniere Montessori, Belfair Elementary, and the Montessori School of Baton Rouge.
She was loved by family and friends and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Pam adored animals, music, literature, travel, and art.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Baton Rouge General and the team at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for their care during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737. All family and friends are invited.
