Mrs Patricia Patsy Ann Roper Hebert

Known to her family and friends as Patsy, passed away at the age of 68 with trust and grace on July 23, 2017 after a 7 month battle of brain cancer.

45 years ago, she left her home of Lutcher, La to marry the love of her life, Alvin Hebert. They would live in St. Amant, La and she became a proud mother to two daughters: Ranee Bourgeois and husband Jim, Jessica Leon Brignac and husband Scott; son: Erik Hebert and wife Racheal (Stafford). Patsy was also blessed with nine grandchildren whom will all serve as pallbearers: Collin, Brock and Evan Bourgeois, Laney and Josie Leon, Kyla and Lexi Brignac, Gavin and Garret Hebert. All living in the same yard made home her favorite place to be. Also survived by her 13 siblings: Maryann and Donald Lambert, Joyce and NJ Bourgeois, Alfred and Regina Roper, Barbara and Roger Kramer, Rose and Kerry Melancon, Linda and Malcom Torres, Bibiana and Nelwin Weber, Neil and Rhonda Roper, Jude Roper, Dennis and Susan Roper, Kathleen and David Donaldson, Jacque Roper, Gerard and Mary Ellen Roper; Brother in law; Jimmy Hebert , godchildren: Rachael Amato and Troy Kramer; 34 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant from 9:00 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM celebrated by Rev. Joshua Johnson with cremation to follow. She joins her parents: Alfred, Sr. and Stella Roper; mother in law: Ella Hebert Landry Bercegeay; father- in- laws: Alex Hebert, Mike Landry, Latson Bercegeay; son-in-law: Lance Leon in Heaven. She is a servant of God who loved the simple things in life and sharing them with her family and friends. She loved the outdoors from watching birds, growing flowers, fishing, cooking, supporting the STA Gators, and most of all watching her grandkids play sports.
