

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patricia L. Hingle on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 2:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial to follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday, May 11, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at which time we will journey in procession to the Church for Mass. She passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She was 66 years old. Patricia loved her children, grandchildren, family, friends, clients, and people in general. She described her life as a privilege from God. She loved God, loved words, writing, art, music, and singing with her brother. She was retired from the Ascension Parish School System where she was an English teacher and school counselor. She also had a private counseling practice and was a writer, publisher, and the director of several companies. Patricia was the author of A Coming of Roses. She graduated from LSU with several degrees, and belonged to the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, Licensed Professional Counselors, National Certified Counselors, and was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Patricia is survived by her three children, Doctors Allyson Hingle Boudreaux and husband Kelly Boudreaux, Jr., Alexis Hingle Papizan and husband, William “Billy” Papizan, Walter “Chip” Hingle, Jr.; grandchildren, Kellan, Cole, and Klein Boudreaux; brother, Leon “Paul” Landry and nieces, Jennifer Landry Board, Chelsea Landry, and Colbi Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph B. Landry, Sr., Catherine Rivault Landry, and brother, Joseph B. Landry, Jr. Patricia wanted to thank all of her doctors, especially Dr. Jerry Fourrier and Dr. Christine Smith for the outstanding care they provided.
