Patricia G Marting

Patricia Gail Marting passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for those she cherished most. Born on August 11, 1940, in Ironton, Ohio, Patricia was the daughter of Lester Kerns and Fannie MaeKerns. She made her home in Gonzales, Louisiana, and was a proud graduate of Rock Hill High School in Ohio. Patricia dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She found joy in gardening and took great pride in being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She will be remembered for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Marting, and her daughter, Bobbie Blalock.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Aguillard, Brenda Martin, and Barbie Brown; her grandchildren, Spreigh Berthelot, Bethany Adams, Houston Edwards, Erik Aguillard, Shannon Combel and Christopher Blalock; her great-grandchildren, Heidi, Symone, Luke, Landon, Mason, Layton, Charleigh , Emmett, Addison and Jameson.

Patricia’s love, strength, and selfless devotion to her family will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA, 70737. A Graveside service will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville, LA.
