Patt Gautreau passed away on August 3, 2026.Patt dearly loved her children, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter, who were the center of her life. She enjoyed writing for Nickel Ads for many years and had a passion for racing. She also wrote a monthly racing column while Willis Thrash was a race car driver. In her free time, Patt loved telling stories and spending time with Sam.
She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Schexnayder (Bruce); her son, Monte Thrash (Caly); her granddaughter, Ravin Miles (Cody); and her great-granddaughter, Aubrie Rogers. Her devoted boyfriend, Samuel “Sam” Platt IV.
Patt was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Mertie Smiley, her late husbands Willis Thrash, and George “Bay” Johnston.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, loving spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Patt will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
