Mrs. Patsy Melancon Melancon Loupe

A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, she passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 and a resident of Maurepas. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, February 15 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Stephen the Martyr Church, Maurepas on Tuesday from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Whitehall Community Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 46 ½ years, Patrick Loupe, Sr.; 2 daughters, Dana Vicknair and her husband Timothy “Timmy” and Kellye Babin and her husband Carl; son, Patrick Loupe, Jr. and his wife Tracy; 4 sisters, Wendy Perrett and husband, Armel, Sr., Kay Bergeron and husband Jimmy, Danette Becnel and husband Dennis, and Angie Babin and husband Cain; brother, Herman Melancon, Jr.; 8 grandchildren, Trent and Leia Vicknair, Justin, Chase, and Brody Babin, Lacy, Laigen, and Landon Loupe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Melancon, Sr. and Louise Leader Melancon. Pallbearers will be Timmy Vicknair, Carl Babin, Justin Babin, Chase Babin, Brody Babin, and Trent Vicknair. Landon Loupe will serve as honorary pallbearer.
