

Paul Wayne Breaux passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the age of 61. Paul was a native of Crowley, LA and a resident of St. Amant, LA. Survived by his wife of 18 years Cheryl Marie B. Breaux, daughter Nicole Breaux, stepson Derek Breaux, brother John Robert Breaux, grandchildren Korie Breaux, Blaycen Breaux, Blaize Hurley, Rhece Melancon and his favorite pet Sadie May. Preceded in death by parents John L. Breaux and Grace Massey Breaux, grandson Tristen Breaux, mother-in-law Janelle Breaux and beloved pet Savannah. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Paul was a member of Pipefitters Local 198. He was well known as a great musician and a great friend. He was famous for his keyboard playing and singing. He was the youngest musician inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 1997. Just to mention a few, some of the bands he played with were: Jax, Van Broussard, Tommy T. Scott, Network, Keep Moving, New Blues, Trent Bourgeois, T-Boy and Just-Us, Little Bayou Band and many more. He was passionate about his vehicles. A very modest, generous, kind-hearted and comical person who could make anyone laugh and touched so many lives. He loved his music more than life. He was a fabulous cook and adored his precious family and dogs. He will be missed by all. Pallbearers will be Randy Breaux, Alvin “Dukie” Breaux III, Adrian Breaux, Robbie Breaux, Dean Babin, Randall Quick, Roy “T-Boy” Moore and Trent Bourgeois. Visitation will be Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 5PM – 9PM at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and Monday, May 16, 2016 from 9AM – 11AM also at Ourso Funeral Home with graveside service following at Hope Haven Cemetery on Hwy 30 in Gonzales.
