
Paul Rogers Cleveland, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at approximately 4:20 a.m. on November 12, 2014. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana and lifetime resident of Baton Rouge and Gonzales, he was a graduate of Istrouma Senior High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Paul is survived by two daughters, Paris LeBlanc-Maloney and husband James, Mindy Capello and husband Jody, a son, Paul Anthony Cleveland, the mother of his children, Doris Lessard Cleveland, four grandchildren, J'olie Culpepper and Jason, Garrett Craft, Lauren Capello, Brooke Capello, and three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Culpepper, Conner and Hunter Craft, a brother, Darryl Cleveland and wife Elinda, two sisters, Cathy Broussard-McLaurin and Eula Neely, an uncle, Martin Neely and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Monday, November 17th from 4 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 18th from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Dr. Lawton Searcy officiating. Private interment will be scheduled at a later date. A longtime businessman and entrepreneur, Paul owned Cleveland's Automotive Equipment Sales. He was a manager and automotive diagnostic consultant with Margot's Inc. and Commercial Tire and Automotive Services. Paul never failed to respond to someone in need. He was giving and loving and cared deeply about his family, friends and his community. He lived his life in accordance with Micah 6:8, he believed in Mercy, Justice and Humility. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Broussard, Sr., Johnny Seeser, Binky Glindmyer, Rene' Ortlieb, III, Darryl Cleveland, Jr., James Cleveland, Ryan Cleveland, Michael Gautreau, Damon Broussard, Mark Broussard, George Sabo, Bevan Sabo, and Alexander Sabo.
