

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Paul passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the age of 84. He was a retired cane farmer, and a Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the VFW. He had a passion and a talent for woodworking which he shared in projects for his family and friends. Born in Paulina to Thomas and Lima Carmouche Poche, he was a resident of Gonzales.
Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Rome Poche; daughter, Mary Myers and son in law Pat; 5 sons and daughters in law, Bryan and Myrna, Jeffrey and Sandy, Rodney and Lisa, Mark and Deann, and Kenneth and Jolette; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 6pm to 9pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday July 18, 2015 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales, LA.
