Pearlie Joseph Broussard

A lifelong resident of Prairieville, he passed away at his home, Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the age of 89. He was a retired Operator with Ethyl Corporation with 39 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice Cedotal Broussard; daughters, Frankie Favre and Beverly York and partner, Mike Ikerd; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Lynnette Broussard, Randall and Julie Broussard, Teddy Broussard, Gerald Broussard; sisters, Ruby Chaney; brother, Oakley Broussard; grandchildren, Terrell Broussard, Clinton Broussard and partner, Wendy Villneurve, Ryan Broussard and wife, Lindsey, Randy Broussard and wife, Lizzie, Kenneth Broussard, Gerald Broussard Jr., Kristi Broussard, Danielle Broussard, Jason Palmer, Alicia Bourque and husband, Taner; 12 great grandchildren.Preceded in death by his parents, Ella White and David L. Broussard; brothers, Carl “Cat” Broussard, Rufus C. Broussard, Louis Broussard, D.L. Broussard; sisters, his twin, Pearl Mag Cowart, Ganell Knippers, and Opal Broussard.There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Gyan, celebrant. Interment will be in Prairieville Community Cemetery. Pallbearers Terrell Broussard, Clinton Broussard, Ryan Broussard, Jason Palmer, Randy Broussard, Kenneth Broussard.
