Percy Simon Parker Sr., born in Kenner, Louisiana on May 12, 1922 and resided in Gonzales, Louisiana. He passed away at home on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 7:29AM at the age of 96. He was retired from Parker’s Supermarket and Carpenters Local 1098. He was a member of American Legion Post 0081 and VFW Post 3696. He was also a World War II Veteran.
Preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, Gladys Mae Massey and Ruth Buratt; wives, Eva Lavigne Parker and Rita Rogers Parker; daughters, Theresa Watts (Vennie), Myrtis Thomassie (Terry) and Dorothy Persac (S. J.); great granddaughter Sydney Rene Persac; stepchildren, Joe Rogers and Anne Cronon; son-in-law, Edward N. Lambremont.
Survived by children, Percy S. Parker, Jr. (Susie), Janice Lambremont, Wanda Crawford (Kevin) and Kenny Parker (Charee); stepchildren, Carmen McAllister, Dorothy Guidry and Steve Rogers; 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, Louisiana on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM with Father Joshua Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
