Raymond Joseph Rousseau

Raymond Joseph Rousseau, a native and lifelong resident of Paincourtville, who recently resided in Geismar, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the age of 78. Raymond was a lifelong sugar cane farmer and loved sharing his knowledge and love of this passion. He loved spending time with his family, having backyard barbeques or seafood boils. After his family, his second love was football, especially LSU. Raymond is survived by his three children, Tammy (Duncan) Rousseau Cox, Troy Rousseau, and Trish (Eric) Rousseau Robinson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Hunter and Drake Stansberry, Cameron and Christian Cox, Tyler McClendon, Aden Rousseau, and Evelyn Robinson; and one sister, Joyce (Robert) Theriot. In addition Raymond leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and long time friends. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Marilyn Mabile Rousseau; his parents, Jules Louis and Effie Rousseau; six siblings, Marion Landry, Verda Buckles, Lee "Buddy" Rousseau, Clarice Charlet, Gerald "Chick" Rousseau, and Donald Rousseau.
