Remington “Remi” Lane Roussel born February 28, 2009 in Baton Rouge was called home on Thursday, December 27, 2012. Remi was a resident of Denham Springs, La. Remi will be missed by hundreds. Remi was a Pre-K student of South Walker Elementary. During Remi’s short visit on earth he enjoyed listening to music, singing, dancing, cuddling with Mommy and soft toys including “My D-D.” He loved unconditionally, touched many lives and inspired others. Remi never met a stranger and always had a smile on his beautiful face. He would say, “What you name?” Remi loved visiting MawMaw, PawPaw, and Uncle Nick, loved the cows and horses and was fearless. Nothing was ever too big. He looked up to his big brother Kayden and loved him more than life itself. Remi wanted to be Batman and every answer was “Hotdog” in school. Remi will be missed tremendously as he plays with family and friends gone before him and tending to PawPaw Marvin’s farm. We love you, Batman. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, Friday, January 4, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be led by Father Eric Gyan and Deacon Randy Clement.
