Rhonda Perez Simmons

A devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother, she passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center. She was 58, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Saturday, September 8, from 2 p.m. until memorial service at 4 p.m., conducted by Pastor Garlin Mizell. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, David Simmons; a daughter, Amanda Wiggins and husband Kodie; son, Arthur Buras and wife, Dorothy; two sisters, Sandra Perez Sheyte and Rose Ann Perez; a brother, Octave "Tavie" Perez, Jr.; four grandchildren, Mason Joseph Buras, Blakely Marie Wiggins, Kendhal Grace Wiggins, and Layton Joseph Wiggins; and a aunt, Sophie Segelsky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Octave Perez, Sr. and Amelia Segelsky Perez. She enjoyed scrapbooking and shutter bugging. She always had a camera ready to get the perfect shot.
