A loving husband, dedicated father, son, and brother, Ricky passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 57. He was a resident of Gonzales and native of Baton Rouge. Ricky was a Quality Control Manager with Graham Plastics. He loved hunting and fishing with his father and grandfather in his younger days. He had a passion for cooking large amounts of food and the time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Jamie Petite; son, Anthony Acardo; mother, Naomi Leonardy Acardo; sister, Sandy Acardo; brother, Ray Acardo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Acardo and grandparents, Henry and Lena Acardo and Fernando and Sadie Leonardy.
Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, October 16 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church on Friday from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Hope Haven, Gonzales.
