

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Roland J Guitreau, Sr. peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, surrounded by his family. He lived such a blessed and full life his 86 years on earth. He was a resident of French Settlement. He was retired from Western Electric, loved to watch his deer in his back yard and spend time with family, especially his great-grandkids. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Selena Keller Guitreau; son and daughter-in-law, Roland J, Jr and Kathy Guitreau; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy St. Pierre; four grandchildren: Kayla Bercegeay (Ryan), Brittney Vance (Ben), Karla Jones (Jason), and Westley St. Pierre; four great-grandchildren: Hayes Vance, Haylee Jones, Henry Vance, and Blake Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Reeda "Sis" and Emile Keller; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Evelyn Guitreau and Aubrey and Carolyn Guitreau; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Rubin Keller. Preceded in death by his parents, Theodule and Ida Guitreau; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Emile and Anna Keller. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and on Wednesday, January 11 from 9:00 a.m until mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in French Settlement. Burial will follow at the Lake Chapel Church Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Westley St. Pierre, Ryan Bercegeay, Ben Vance, Jason Jones, Rubin Keller, Wayne Grenfell.
