Dear Prentiss and Tommy, I am so sorry for your loss - Walter called to let me know. Aunt Ruth was always a beautiful woman and all her pictures confirm that. She and my mother Lola Beatrice must have been very close - my middle name is Ruth. I am so thankful for all the good memories you and your families have of her. Living without her will be an adjustment but we all have the sure hope of seeing her again one day. I will be praying for all of you through this time of grief. Love, Margaret Nix Moss

Thank you for letting this part of the family know of Aunt Ruth's home going. Our prayers are with you in your loss. Aunt Ruth was so kind to our step-mother, Sellas, in her last years and we've sweet memories of all Momma shared with us about her kindnesses. Aunt Ruth shared with us three girls, Margaret, Bea and Glenda, one day in 2000 when we visited all she could recall of our own mom - her sister - Beatrice, who'd died many years ago. Such a precious, large family and so many memories among them! One thing Aunt Ruth told us that day was that her granddaughter had placed a marker on Sellas's grave (out at Lake Como by her only daughter, Etta). We'd seen it and wondered who'd done it as we waited to be together to select one. But we were too late, and we loved what was there and I'm still grateful that she was loved enough by her extended family to have this done. Thank you. Again, you are in our prayers. May God's richest blessings be yours. Glenda Nix White, jbgwhite @yahoo.com

My name is Debra Lavergne . I met Ms Ruth when she came to reside at Ascension Oaks Nursing Center. I can remember when she first came here because I felt the same way. She felt all alone in a strange place but we became friends and lived next door to one another. Before long she was rolling herself along the halls talking to anyone who would talk to her. She always spoke to everyone with soft sweet voice. I will always remember her Sweet Voice and the Smile on her face. May you Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.
