

Scott Kyle Huye, 35, of Prairieville, La., was born June 5, 1985, in Baton Rouge, La., to Linda Henry and George Huye. He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. He was a 2004 graduate of Dutchtown High School. Later, he received his Auto CAD certificate from River Parish Technical College.
Known as a gentle giant, Scott never met a stranger. He was full of love and kindness. Scott was a protector of the underdog, befriending many that he felt needed his help. Scott was an athlete in his younger years, from dirt bike riding to playing basketball and football in high school. He loved animals and was at home in the outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. Scott is survived by his wife, Brynne Nicholas Huye; his parents, Linda Henry and George Huye; sisters, Elizabeth Huye Callegan (Joshua Callegan) and Lauren Sipp (Thomas Sipp); step siblings, Ashley Williams, Carter Williams, and Dani Bruno; nephews, Jacob Callegan and Paul Sipp; niece, Audrey Ann Callegan; mother-in-law, Melissa Lawton; sisters-in-law, Allie and Mandy Amond. Scott was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Barbara Harris Henry and Audrey Lotz Huye; maternal grandfather, A. Leonard Henry; stepfather, Danny E. Williams; grandfather-in-law, Joseph Nicholas. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Ourso Funeral home in Gonzales, La. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Service to follow at 11:30.
