Sherrie Read Britt

Sherrie Lynette Britt passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the age of 52. She was a native of Hornbeck, LA, and a resident of Gonzales, LA. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working outside in her flowerbeds, going to the beach and loved being a Nona to her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Monette Britt; son, Michael Britt; sister, Lisa Williams; brother, Brady Attaway; grandchildren, Tylan Joseph Britt, Harleigh Rae Britt, Brenzlee Lynette Poirrier, Henleigh Rose Britt, Ayden Christopher Wooten, Hayes Matthew Britt; and niece, Ariel Williams. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Britt; son, Matthew Joseph Britt; grandson, James Gabriel Poirrier; parents, Joe Read and Barbara Webb Read; and, brother, Ed Read. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy.
