Sue Ann Matherne a native of Whitehall, LA and resident of St. Amant, LA, died on November 30, 2022 at 5:32am at the age of 73. Sue Ann loved to dance, sing and cook. She never met a stranger and gave lots of love to everyone. She was a participant in the Special Olympics Bowling in her younger years. She was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence & Eugenia LeBourgeois; adoptive parents, Mr. & Mrs. Matherne. 4 sisters, Ellen LeBourgeois, Telvina Dupuy, Ella Mae Anderson, & Bessie Dixon; 6 brothers, Nelson, Ellis, Norman, Warren, Alton LeBourgeois and Lacy Michel; and 4 brother-in-laws, Clement Dupuy, Charles Anderson, Tootsie Millet & E.F. “Pat” Dixon. She is survived by Guardians, Randal & Tara Dixon; 2 sisters, Iris (Harry) Sprague, and Noemie Millet; 1 brother, Homer (Linda) LeBourgeois; and 4 sister-in-laws, Betty, Evelyn, Onida, & Janet LeBourgeois. Special Thanks to Tara & Randal Dixon for taking guardianship of Sue Ann, and to all of her caregivers, Tara Dixon, Rebecka Rutherford, Jacy Addison, Jessica Michot, Linda Folse, OLOL Ascension, The Carpenter House, & St. Joseph Hospice. Pallbearers will be, Randal, Tyler, Jerry, Bryan, Colby Dixon, Quinton LeBlanc, Bubba, and Jason LeBourgeois. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 22502 Highway 22, Maurepas, LA, on Monday December 5, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm.
