Susan Rushing Aime

Susan Rushing Aime, age 74, a native of Baton Rouge and long-time resident of Head of Island, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Sabrina Marie Aime. She is survived by her husband, Donald L. Aime Sr., and her three children, Selena Minette Gardner, Sedonia Michelle Aime, and Donald L. Aime Jr. (Wife - Sophie). She also leaves behind a legacy through her 7 grandchildren: Sabreana Gautreau, Zebadiah Gardner, Selena Myles, Brayden Aime, Francis Hartwick, Celeste Aime, and Scarlett Aime, as well as seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimers.org. The family extends special thanks to her Care Team from Pinnacle Hospice, especially Kerri, for the exceptional care and support provided to the entire family throughout her illness. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial, which will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement on Monday, February 26th, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Mass will be held immediately following, with Father Jason and Deacon Jimmy Little presiding. Susan will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, love, and generosity will forever be remembered.
