Susan “Sue” Bernadette Delaune Denham passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 3, 2021 after her battle with cancer. She has been a lifelong resident of Ascension Parish where she grew up, met her husband and created a beautiful home for her family. She has now rejoined her late husband, Edwin “Pete” Denham, in their heavenly home. She is survived by her children; Eddie Denham and wife Angela, Cammie Manuel and husband Ron, Amy Hamann and husband Gary and Suzi Cannon and husband Robert “Bobby”. She was the loving grandmother of Aaron Denham, Logan Ramagos (Caleigh), Benjamin Denham, Lauren Ramagos, Nicholas Denham, Jillian Gremillion, Lillian “Lillie” Ramagos, Conor Cannon, Presley Denham, Brenan Cannon, Gracin Denham, Gabriel Denham and Ashton Cannon, Great Grandmother of Madelyn Denham, Lucille “Lucy” Ramagos, Hudson Denham and Ellis Denham. Susan was born on January 26, 1943 to the late Leslie G. Delaune and Hilda Delaune. She was the sister of the late Thelma Michelli (the late Frank), Leslie “Buddy” Delaune (the late Jeanette), Marianne “Mimi” Comeaux (the late Gerald), Mark Delaune (Barbara), Rebecca “Becky” Deshautelles (Chris) and the late Dorothy Delaune. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Sally Guedry and Doris Denham and her life long friend Melba Mooney. Sue was a member of Bethany Church, but to many who knew her she was more than a member she was a warm welcoming face when you came in the doors. Sue was very talented; she enjoyed painting, quilting and putting together flowers for those she loved. She always enjoyed watching her Hallmark movies and Christmas time was her favorite time of year. Sue was so loving and compassionate to all of those around her. Spending time with her family truly brought a smile to her face, she loved having everybody around. Her amazing and plentiful hugs will surely be missed by many for years to come. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 4PM until 8PM, the visitation will continue on Monday June 7, 2021 from 9AM till 11AM with a service beginning at 11AM. Sending my deepest condolences

June 4, 2021

My prayers go out to the family and friends. We had some good times doing crafts and especially going out to eat lunch on the monthly basis. With Covid we all sort of lost touch. We will keep her memory alive in our hearts with the great times we spent together. May God embrace you and give you the strength you need to get through this difficult time. Sending prayers and love your way.
