A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Sylvia, a life-long resident of St. Amant, La. passed away at 11:59 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital with her family by her side. She was 79 years old. She loved fishing and camping in Belle River, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas G. Richard; Daughters, Donna Sheets (Tommy), Vicky Blouin (fiance’ Steven Manuel), Pattie Bourque, (Randy), and Aimee Buckland, (Dean); Son, Ben Richard (Destiny); Grandchildren, Shawn Sheets (Dustie), Jordan Sheets, Zachary Artigue, Alexandra Artigue, Madison Henry, Daryn Cook (Sierra), Randi Jo Bourque (Fiance’ Ed Bordelon), Jack Buckland, Beau Buckland, Kayde Richard, Tatum Richard, and Remy Richard and 6 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by brother, Melvin Babin (Evelyn); Sisters, Shirley White and Mary Lenko (Terry Sr.); and sister-in-law, Beverly Babin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson “Fatty” and Stella Frederic Babin; brother, Stanley “Poopie” Babin and brother-in-law, Billy White Sr. Pallbeareres will be Shawn Sheets, Jordan Sheets, Daryn Cook, Zachary Artigue, Brady Babin, Randy Bourque and Wade Babin. Visitation will on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, La. Burial to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
