Terry "Danette" Sonnier

Terry “Danette” Sonnier, 36, of Gonzales passed away in Our Lady of the Lake Hospital Saturday, December 31, 2016. Ms. Sonnier was born October 21, 1980 in Baton Rouge and is a graduate of Ascension Medical College. Danette was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Astin Cierra Martin and Dannie Raylynn Dossett; sons, Blake Michael Martin and Stephen Alexander Mueller; her mother, Terry Poteet Cabrera and step father, Gilbert Cabrera; grandparents, Leroy & Jane Sonnier; brother, Keith Ray Sonnier and half-brother, Dwight Guedry; her half-sisters, Mandy Pruett and Megan Burgin; her granddaughter, Peyton Elizabeth Martin. Ms. Sonnier is proceeded in death by her Father, Danny Ray Sonnier.Pallbearers are Keith Sonnier, Blake Martin, Bradly Martin, Gilbert Cabrera, Matthew Deroche, and Jesse Deroche. Honorary Pallbearers are Dwight Guedry and Jacob Ory. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4th from 5pm to 9pm at Ourso Funeral Home, and from 9 am to 11am Thursday, January 5th at Ourso Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled at 11am in the funeral home chapel, The service will be officiated by Pastor Billy Minyard. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory on Hwy. 30 in Gonzales.
