Thairon Lavell Chadwick

GONZALES – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Thairon Lavell Chadwick, age 85, at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and again on Wednesday morning starting at 9:00 am and continuing until service time at 11:00 am.

A native of Nicholson, Mississippi and resident of Prairieville, Mr. Chadwick passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Chadwick was employed as a truck driver for Southeast Motor Freight and then was self-employed as the owner of a Texaco Station, T and C Trucking Co. and the I. C. Café. He retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, growing his vegetable garden and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Allen Chadwick; daughters, Patsy Woodham and husband Mark, Delores Glaser and husband Michael; son, Guy L. Chadwick and wife Jeannine; grandchildren, Christie, Guy, Nicole, Chris, Cheree, Candie, Shane, Brandy, Justin; great-grandchildren, Kreig, Kali, Lanie, Abbie, Sydni, Isaac, Joshua, Gabby, Rylie, Kaitlyn, David, Kody, Bryson, Annabel, Noah and Corban.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram J. Chadwick; mother, Coletta T. Chadwick; sisters, Thelma, Coletia, Juanita, Jeanette; brothers, George, Earl, Guycell, Thornton and grandson, Chad Painter.

Pallbearers will be Guy L. Chadwick, II, Chris Glaser, Shane Glaser, Justin Painter, Kreig Chadwick and Mark Woodham.
