Thelma (Akin) Dickinson

Thelma was known for growing her flowers and having a vegetable garden.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Akin and his wife Dymple, Michael Akin and his wife Norma; sister, Frances Brown; Grandchildren, Brad Sr., Jeremy and Johnny Jr Akin; Great-grandchildren, Brad Jr and Elizabeth Akin and Logan Naquin. She was also survived by her companion Earl Broussard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Florence Sisco Squires; first husband and father of her children, Ruble Akin; second husband, Lamont Dickinson; brothers, Bobby, Bert, Wayne, Harold and Jack Squires and Pete Moore.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. The burial will immediately follow in Galvez Pentecostal Cemetery.
