Thomas E. Mathews

Graveside services will be held for Mr. Thomas E. Mathews on Thursday, April 19, 2018, 11:00 am, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Baker, LA. Mr. Mathews passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence. He was 82 years old. Mr. Mathews was a Navy veteran having served in the Korean War. He was also a long time member of the VFW Post 4224. He retired from Allied Chemical and loved to fish in his spare time. Mr. Mathews is survived by his sons, Leonard Mathews and wife Tina, Douglas Mathews and wife Cheryl, Darryl Mathews and wife Di-Di; fiancé, Pam Lovett; step-son, Kenneth White; sister, Sandra McCollister and husband Don; brothers, Roland Mathews and wife Rita, Bobby Mathews and wife Sue, Johnny Mathews and wife Gaynell; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Phillips Mathews; step-daughter, Latessa White; daughter-in-law, Kathy Mathews and parents, Leonard Mathews and Clara Chapman Mathews. Pallbearers will be Roland Mathews, Bobby Mathews, Johnny Mathews, Thomas Mathews, Kenneth White and Christopher White.
