

Thomas John Moran passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born and raised in St. Amant, Louisiana where he lived his whole life. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bernardine Moran; two children, Yvette Panepinto (Joey) and Tyler Moran (Tiffanie) and four grandchildren Kaleb Moran (Morgan), Katelyn Moran, Casey Panepinto & Sara Panepinto. Thomas was born on March 6, 1945 to the late Rosalie Laiche Moran and Telesmar Paul Moran Sr. He was the brother of Myrtis Berthelot, Matthew Moran, Ronnie Moran (Kathryn), Ralph Moran (Cheryl), Connie Frederic (David) & Kathy Moran (Randy). He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Telesmar Moran Jr., brother-in-law Jimmy Berthelot, Godchild Troy Berthelot, niece Rhonda Murphy and great-nephew Mason Peabody.
Thomas was a loving husband, devoted father and proud grandfather. His family and his faith were very important to him. Thomas retired after 30 years as a Union pipefitter; he was a member of the U.A. Local #198. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching LSU football & baseball and the PBR rodeo. He had a love for the outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing. Above all else he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Pinnacle Hospice, especially his nurse Anna, his caregivers Joan and Susan and the staff at The Crossing for their compassion and support during the most difficult times.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Thomas on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 LA Highway 429, St. Amant, Louisiana 70774, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow in the church mausoleum. Those serving as pallbearers are Kaleb Moran, Casey Panepinto, Jarrett Harris, Brent Moran, Bennett Savoy and Andrew Amort and the honorary pallbearers Katelyn Moran & Sara Panepinto.
