

Thomas Gerard (Gerry) Rangeley, 56, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2013. He was born May 17, 1956, in Rhode Island. He lived in Baton Rouge most of his life and recently moved to Gonzales, Louisiana. Mr. Rangeley was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Rangeley, his mother, Mary Frances (Becker) Rangeley, a brother, Pete Rangeley, and a nephew, Clay Rangeley. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Virginia Raye (Butler) Rangeley; his two sons, Jonathan and Brandon Rangeley; two step-daughters, Danielle (Barker) Bennett and her husband, Christopher Bennett, and Brittney Barker; seven grandchildren: Kylie Rangeley, Taytric Barker; Courtney, Hannah and Lola Bennett; and Anthony, Jr. and Tori McCray. He is also survived by his uncle, Ory Poret, and two nieces, Chantell and Rochelle Rangeley. Mr. Rangeley was employed by Carline Marine for the past 25 years as a marine traffic dispatcher. Arrangements will be handled by Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Louisiana. The service will be officiated by Pastor Bill Pruitt. The funeral home will be open to the public at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, with a service at 10:30 a.m. Flowers will be gratefully accepted.
