Thomas "Allen" Usry

Thomas Allen Usry, a resident of Gonzales, La and a native of New Orleans, La. passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of 75. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He received his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University and was General Counsel for the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association. He graduated high school from the New Orleans Academy. Allen loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sonja Authement Usry; Daughters, Charlotte Usry and Katherine “Katie” Hubert; Sisters, Lisa Hoefer and Anne Johnston and 1 grandson, Casey Allen Usry Nilsen. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Allen Usry; mother, Margaret Louise Hunter Usry and son, Hunter Allen Usry. A visitation for Allen will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737.
