A resident of Prairieville, he passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, March 23, 2014. He was 54. Tim was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. At the time of his death, he was the manager of Community Acceptance of Denham Springs. Tim believed success is measured not by what you do but how you do what you have chosen to do. Tim chose to be a loving husband, father and a great friend. By anyone's standards he was truly successful. He spent much of his free time with friends and family at the Amite River where he often cooked, relaxed and appreciated the beauty of life. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jeannie Lambert McDuffie; son, Alex Paul McDuffie; brothers, Mark James McDuffie and wife, Laura and Fr. Paul McDuffie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen Larriviere McDuffie; maternal grandparents, Alexis and Bertha Larriviere; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Thelma McDuffie. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville on Thursday from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Chico Rosales, David Fabre, Randy Johnson, Don Singletary, Kirby Peabody, Marc Noel, Brent Ballard and Victor Leotta. The family would like to thank Tim's many friends for all their love and support at this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Folds of Honor, www.foldsofhonor. org.
