Vernon Paul Gautreau

A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, he passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at his residence in Gonzales. He was 87. He was a proud WWII Veteran and a retired Electrician with the Local 995. He is survived by his wife Nell Rita Babin Gautreau; three daughters, Trudy Pouciau and husband, Norman, Jackie Gautreau, and Darla Gautreau; three sons and daughters in law Lonnie Gautreau and wife, Denise, Kevin Gautreau and wife, Angie, and Lance Gautreau and wife, Lisa; a sister, Carolyn Wells; two Brothers Matthew Gautreau and Dennis Gautreau Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Dennis P. Gautreau Sr. and Cecelia Decoteau Gautreau; son, Ernie Gautreau; sisters, Lulla Bell Brignac, Val Fife, Martha Perdue, and Shirley Granier; and a brother Alex Gautreau. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 8:30 am until funeral service at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
