Vicki Melancon Gauthreaux

Our beloved, Vicki Melancon Gauthreaux passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 63. She was a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana. She was a graduate of St. Amant High School in 1979. After graduation with a degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University, she spent most of her career working for Associated Grocers Inc. as a Controller, overseeing the company’s operations and financial health until her retirement. She had a passion for fashion designing and was also a professional seamstress bringing joy to many adults and children designing elegant wedding and pageant dresses. Anyone who met Vicki was touched by her generosity, large personality and humor. She is preceded in death by her father, Victor Melancon and a brother, Michael Melancon. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Melancon of Sorrento, La. and her sister, Sheryl Melancon Hammack of Pooler, Ga. She was the aunt to 5 nephews and 2 nieces, Hayden Melancon, Mikah Melancon, Brenden Melancon, Tristen Lloyd, Landon Lloyd, Christopher Hammack of Ga. and Ashton Barker of Florida. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow.
