On July 6, 2024, Vickie Wood Andrews, age 62, of Livingston, LA passed through the gates of Heaven called home by the Lord our Savior. Vickie will be remembered for her unique skill of artful craft work including sewing, quilting, crocheting, beading, and painting as well as her generous and feisty spirit. If you knew her then she would give you her heart asking nothing in return except love and appreciation. We will miss our dear butterfly but know she is flying high and in the company of departed loved ones at eternal peace. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ricky Dale Andrews. They shared many memories and traveled together before her decline in health. She is also survived by her sisters, Gaynell (Steve) Porter, and Allison Lane Penny; nephews, Allen Patrick and Garrett Douglas Porter. She was employed for many years with Reliable Tax Service by Jackie Penny. She had many close friends and family who were a large part of her life that she cherished; Susan Clarke Blackwell, Douglas Hawkeye Clarke, Jan Laverne, Sandra Banks, Brittany Leger, Shannon Watts, and Lea Ann Watts. Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Monk Penny; father, Donald Allen Penny; grandparents, Ila Holmes Monk and Vernon Aubrey Monk. A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
