Vincent Steven Tripp

Vincent Tripp, age 90, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was a native of Kenner and resident of Gonzales. Vincent was a WWII Navy Veteran. He retired from Triad Chemical Plant and was known as "Big Daddy" by most. He also enjoyed raising cattle. Vincent is survived by his daughters, June Mayers and husband, Beryl, Libby St. Amant and husband, Terry; sons, Terry Tripp and wife, Billie, Brady Tripp and wife, Fran, Marty Tripp and wife, Janie, Lamar Tripp and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Travis Tripp, Daniene Guichard, Chad, Aaron and Brett Mayers, Brady, Jr., Michael and Curtis Tripp, Shannon Sanchez, Marty Tripp, Jr., Dustin Tripp, Jake and Cassie St. Amant, Lucas, Todd, Jill, Collin, Adam, Elijah and Grant Tripp; step-grandchildren, Derek Townsend, Kelly and Kerrie Hamilton; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Marion Crawford and Nelson Morgan; sister-in-law, Sue Tripp He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Georgia Mae Tripp; parents, Charles and Mickile Arceneaux Tripp; sisters, Rosalie Broussard, Thelma Morgan, Joyce Crawford; brother, Joe Tripp and grandson, Patrick Breaux. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Gonzales from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Dr. James B. Law. Interment will immediately follow at Lusk Cemetery in Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Travis Tripp, Chad Mayers, Brady Tripp, Jr., Marty Tripp, Jr., Jake St. Amant and Lucas Tripp. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Azalea Estates, personal caregivers, Betty Pekins, Betty Mobley and Dinky Weber.
