Virginia Maxine Reedy

She was born January 20, 1928, in Quitman, Arkansas, the daughter of Sherman and Lorena Crafton Fureigh. She spent the majority of her life in El Dorado, AR where she was a retired credit manager with West Department Store. She was a devout Christian and a true spiritual warrior. Her 3 children were the light of her life and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye.

Survivors include two sons, Denzil “Denny” Reedy II (Jan) of Shreveport, LA; Michael Ray Reedy (Cindi) of Mobile, AL; a daughter, Lydia Susan Binns (Gary) of Gonzales, LA; ten grandchildren, Michael Reedy, Christi Binns, Matthew Binns, Fallon Reedy, Payton Reedy, Brooke Reedy, Austin Reedy, Braxton Reedy, Brock Reedy, and Sequence Garner; and one great grandchild, Michael Thien Reedy. She is also survived by her brother Benjamin Nelson Fureigh of Conway, AR. Special thanks to Marguerite Lyons, her caretaker, whose total love, care, and friendship was a treasure to the entire family.

Services will be Wednesday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home with Denny Reedy and Michael Reedy officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. immediately prior to the service. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Quitman, AR, under the direction of Russell-Griffin Funeral Directors.
