Wayne John Daigle, age 82 of Denham Springs, La passed away on Sunday, Sept 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Wayne was a Barber and retired in 2016 after 55 years of service to his community. He was a 2 time Louisiana Barber of the Year, 1970 U.S.A Hairstyling Champion, 1983 U.S.A Barber –Hairstylist of the Year, and served as President of the Louisiana Barber Board from 1990 to 1998. He also served on the Executive Board of the Louisiana Association of Barbers and Beauticians. The things in life that made him smile were spending time with his family and fishing on Lake Verret. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pattie Stephenson Daigle; 3 sons, Boyd Daigle (Leslie), Tony Daigle, and Scott Daigle; stepdaughter, Gina Young (Steve); 8 grandchildren, Brandt Daigle, Bryce Daigle, Quinn Gautreau, Tasha Daigle, Toni Lynn Scioneaux, Garrett Young, Clay Nesbit Jr., and Whitney Hoagland; 13 great-grandchildren, Jade Nesbit, Cole Nesbit, Case Nesbit, Ethan Daigle, Emma Daigle, Elliott Daigle, Rylan Daigle, Karsyn Daigle, Cade Creel, Damien Ledlow, Christian Bourque, Marlee Scioneaux, and Justus Scioneaux; brothers, Malcolm Daigle (Mary), Ronald Daigle (Katherine), and Coy Daigle Sr. (Vickie); sister, Wanda Daigle and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alces Maurice Daigle and Luella Boudreaux Daigle, and former wife and mother of his children, Lou Ronnie DeArmond Daigle. A Visitation for Wayne will be held on Wednesday, Sept 27, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La, and will resume on Thursday, Sept 28, 2023, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, La.
