William Jean Lambert Sr.

Lambert, William J. passed away at his home in Gonzales on Thursday Oct. 10, 2013 at the age of 86. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the army and a former Altar Boy. At St. Mark Catholic Church he belonged to the Usher Society. Mr. William retired from L.S.U as Director of Stores. He was preceded in death by his wife- Verla Gautreau Lambert, Parents- George and Nella Bourque Lambert, Brothers, Herman, Vernon and Louis Lambert. Sister-, Beulah L. White, Eula L. Bercegeay, and Helen L. Schexnayder, great grandsons: Ashton Lambert and Nicolas Ladner, Son-in-law: Eugene Jacob.

Survived by his children: Barry & Jeanette Lambert, William “Bill” & Mary Lambert, Ramona Jacob & Jane Guedry, 19 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9:00 am until mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Rev Rubin Reynolds.
