A native of Sorrento and resident of St. Amant, he passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was 65 years old and a retired longshoreman for cargos unlimited. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Jean Madaris Allen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jimmy Quaid and Erica and Ronnie Winstead; two sons, Willie Paul Allen Jr. and Jerry Allen; two sisters, Frances Vicknair and Vicky Schexnayder; 18 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, Norwood William and Ollie Marie Reine Allen; son, Chad Allen; sister, Mary Ann Allen, and a brother, Billy Ray Allen. A visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 9 a.m. until graveside service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon J.R. Salinas.
