Yvonne Petitfils, 86, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on December 5, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Yvonne attended Francis T Nicholls High School. She spent 29 years working for AAA Cooper Transportation where she served as a clerk before her retirement in December 2007. She built a life filled with love and devotion to her family, cherishing her role as a mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Petitfils Sr., as well as her children, Alan Petitfils Sr. and Donna Carambat, along with her brothers Casimir Domingue, Edward Domingue, Eugene Domingue and Douglas Domingue. She is survived by her son, Ellis "E.J." Petitfils Jr.; grandchildren Tasha Rousseau (Christopher), Alan Petitfils Jr. (Charlotte), Jordan Carambat, Kristen Naquin (Scott), and Timothy Carambat; and great- grandchildren Vivienne, Stellan, Nikolai, Edgar, Christopher, Olivia, and Jacob.
Yvonne's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on February 17, 2025, at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Hwy in Gonzales, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by service beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donation preferred to be sent to St. John the Evangelist Church -15208 Hwy 73 Prairieville, LA 70769 in her name.
