Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas with Reverend Ildiko Rigney officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Gonzales Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. There will be a Visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 5:00 ~ 9:00 pm at the Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas.
Anna Marie Boysen was born in Gonzales, Texas on April 4, 1923. She was the daughter of Charlie and Mary (Siltmann) Tieken. She was baptized into the Christian faith on August 5, 1923. Anna Marie grew up in the community of Cost, Texas and publically affirmed her faith in Christ Jesus as her personal Savior on September 5, 1937 at the First Lutheran Church of Gonzales. Her confirmation verse was 1 John 4:16 “So we know and believe the love God has for us. God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God abides in him.” Anna Marie graduated from Gonzales High School in 1941. She attended University of Houston from 1942 to 1943. On December 8, 1944 she married Elroy Herbert Boysen in the Lutheran Church of Gonzales, Texas. She resided with her husband in Houston, Texas from 1950 thru 2008. In May of 2008, Anna moved with Elroy to the assisted living center, at The Heights of Gonzales, in Gonzales, Texas.
Anna Marie was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas and through the years she worked for more than 20 years at the Mothers Day Out Pre-School Program. She also was an active member of the Timbergrove Home Owners Association and volunteered many years in the support of neighborhood projects and improvements. After returning to her hometown in 2008 she became a member of The First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Anna Marie is survived by her daughter Linda Hearne and her husband, George of Round Rock, Texas, two grandsons; Brant Hearne and his wife, Michelle of Little Elem, Texas and Barry Hearne and his wife, Major Jacqueline who are presently stationed in Tokyo, Japan, two great-grandsons, Pierce and Caul Hearne of Little Elm, Texas. one brother, Max Tieken of Gonzales and one sister Gladys Campion of Saturn, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Elroy Boysen, her older brother, Oscar Tieken, three sisters Maxine Braeuer, Doris Tieken and Madeline Tieken.
