Graveside Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Mount Eden Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Buffington Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Denis was born on May 28, 1955 in Livingston, Texas. He was the son of Jeff Robert and Gloria (Scallion) Goode. After high school, Denis earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin College. He married Brenda Smith on December 29 1992 in Houston, Texas. Denis liked to go fishing, and he enjoyed woodworking and building things like tables and bookshelves. Denis is survived by his loving wife of 27 years; exas, one sister; Cynthia Goode, three grandchildren; Jordan Hartmann, Jaden Hartmann, Elijah Cunha, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Jeff Robert and GlBrenda, one daughter; Jennifer Smith of Katy, Texas, one brother; Jeff Robert Goode, Jr. of San Antonio, Toria Goode, two brothers; Gene Ray Goode, and Chris Goode.
