Refugio Joe Ramos

Refugio “Cuco” Ramos, age 74, of Gonzales, TX, passed away Saturday morning on October 23, 2010. Refugio was born on July 4, 1936 in Mexico to the late Antonio and Elvida Ramos. Refugio is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his loving and caring nephew Ruperto Ramos of Gonzales, TX; three nieces: Luisa and Frank Venegas of Gonzales, TX; Anita Ramos and Joe Leal of Austin, TX; Denise Stanley of San Antonio, TX; and a large number of extended family.

Refugio “Joe” Ramos, was a CNA with Gonzales County Hospital District for more than 30 years know to all as “Joe Ramos”. He loved his work and was acknowledged and awarded Employee of the month with full resignation from employers and co-workers. He was always in a great mood and with a big smile to brighten up your day. In his leisure time after retirement he loved to shoot pool, watch a good “Cowboys” football game and go on hunting trips with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Burial held at the Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery in Gonzales, TX. Pallbearers are Ramond Ramos Jr. of Austin, TX; Nicholas Ortiz of San Antonio, TX; Mike Castillo Jr., Cosme Molina, Paul Cerda Jr., and Adolf Leal Jr. all of Gonzales, TX. Honorary Pallbearers are Ruperto Ramos, Frank Venegas Jr., Franky Venegas III Daivd Tucy all of Gonzales, TX.
