Saul Elias Ibarra Sr.

Saul Ibarra Sr., 78, of Gonzales, TX was born August 31, 1932 in Fashion, TX to the late Mr. Domingo Ibarra and Mrs. Crescencia Rodriguez-Ibarra. He later married Alicia Rodriguez on July 9, 1954 at St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales, TX. Mr. Ibarra passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 in Gonzales, TX surrounded by his family and friends.

Mr. Ibarra worked as a farmer doing what he loved all his life. Saul Sr. was always happy he enjoyed spending time with his family and animals. He was a great husband, loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather who will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Joe Ibarra, daughter Cindy Fredrick, three brothers: Manuel, Ruben, and David Ibarra Sr., one sister Josie Ibarra.

He is survived by his loving wife Alicia Ibarra, five sons: Saul Ibarra Jr. of Gonzales, Roy Ibarra of East Bernard,TX, Daniel Ibarra of Waelder, TX, Javier Ibarra of Gonzales and Elias Ibarra of San Antonio, TX; four daughters: Esther Villreal, Erma Rhodes, Crescencia DelCarmen Chavez and Maria Ibarra all of Gonzales, TX; two brothers: Jose Ibarra of Houston, TX and Henry Alvardo Ibarra of Waelder, TX; one sister Elenor Esparza of Moulton, TX; thirty-two grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are to be held for Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10:00 am located at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waelder, TX with Father Paul Raaz officiating interment will follow at the Waelder Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:00 till 9:00 pm held at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, TX with Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm.
