Mrs. Theresa K. Kruse Baker

Mrs. Theresa K. Baker of Gonzales passed away, Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the age 82. Mrs. Baker was born to the late William and Veda (Butler) Kruse June 9, 1928 in Mason, Texas.

Theresa graduated from Santa Rosa School of Nursing, September 14, 1948, and started her career at Warm Springs in Ottine as a Registered Nurse. On September 16, 1950 she married the love of her life Leo J. Baker. Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Steve Baker, one daughter Janet McCarrell, and one sister Bonnie Hannah.

Mrs. Baker is survived by one son: Fred Baker of Gonzales, one brother Buddy Kruse of Uvalde, three sisters; Lola Hohn of Mason, Pearl Segars of Austin, and Helen Taylor of Fredericksburg, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grand-sons, 1 step grand-daughter, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Saint James Catholic Church in Gonzales with Father. Paul Raaz officiating, and Interment will follow at Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Baker will be Mike McCarrell, Jason McCarrell, Justin McCarrell, Jerry McCarrell, Stefanie Gonzales, and Tony Brom.
