Cookie was a retiree from St. Thomas Midtown, where she spent 40 years in dedicated service as a real estate manager. She was a proud Christian and graduate of Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio. Her crowning achievements in life came from being a devoted mother, grandmother and proud supporter of MNPD. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Alice “Sissy” Sprinkles Boone (2016) and Walter Boone (1986). She is survived by her children; Michael Todd Upchurch and his wife Jan, Christopher James Upchurch and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Katie Achuff, Jordan Upchurch, Carson Upchurch, and Kailyn Upchurch; Siblings Sandy Dalrymple, Butch Stewart, Homer Stewart and Elaine Hibbs.
Visitation will be Thursday August 20, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and a Celebration of Life service Friday August 21, 11 am to 1 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Art Helps Cancer in Cookie's name.
