

Joyce “Annette” Hoover age 72, gained her heavenly wings and joined her Mother and Daddy on Monday October 28, 2024. Annette was born Wednesday, April 2, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee and was preceded in death by her loving parents Dallas H. Gregory and Elizabeth “Libbie” J. Gregory.
She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 32 years, Edwin “Dub” Hoover; loving sister’s Reba Wauford, Sharon Reed and her husband Mark, Karon Sumners and her husband Steve; Sister-in- law Marlene and her husband David Stringfellow; Brother-in-law Mark Goostree; many loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annette was saved at the age of 8 years old during Revival services at Maces Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a long-time member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, TN. Her faith in our LORD Jesus Christ never faltered and she is now in his care.
Annette after graduating from Maplewood High School in 1970 and attending UT Knoxville, was employed by American General Life and The State of TN then joined the US Army in January 1976. After her honorable discharge from the US Army, she went to work for the United States Postal Service where she met her loving husband, Dub. She retired from the USPS in 2012.
Annette was an amazing devoted daughter who always put her mother’s needs and care first. She enjoyed traveling, skiing, gardening, hiking, the beach and was always devoted to her health and fitness. She always loved and cherished anytime spent with her family and many, many friends. She loved LIFE.
The family would like to extend a special THANK You to her devoted friend Janice Miller. Also, Thank you to the staff at Stone Creek Memory Care in Hendersonville, TN and Gentiva Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Goodlettsville, Tennessee. A celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeremy Sisk and Pastor Johnny Carver officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Devotion II at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mark Reed, Steve Sumners, Mark Goostree, Tyler Goostree, Andrew Goostree, Anthony Plummer, Jr. and Mike Martin.
