Barbara J. Harris, age 79, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Barbara was born Friday, February 27, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Bertha Beatrice and Earnest Ward in the Woodbine area of Nashville.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, George Perkins.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don, who stood by her side and took great care of her throughout a very lengthy illness. She is also surviver by sister, Faye (Robert) Crabtree; numerous nephews, one niece, and her dog, Blue.
As a young woman, Barbara loved riding horses and cooking, at one time, owning her own restaurant. Barbara and Don also owned numerous gas stations throughout the Nashville and Goodlettsville area. They made their home in Portland, Tennessee. She will be very loved and missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 12 pm - 2 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm at the funeral home.
