Born on June 8, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, Deana lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her greatest joy in life was her family, whom she loved more than anything.
Deana was a wonderful cook whose meals brought family and friends together around the table. She also found great happiness in fishing and flower gardening, spending countless hours enjoying the outdoors and creating beautiful memories with those she loved. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeffrey (Regina) Lane, Tammy (Joseph) Borghi, Timothy (Sabrina) Lane, David Lane, and Marc (Jennifer) Lane; her sisters, Betty Abson, Dotty Barry, and Joyce Barry; cherished grandchildren:
Christopher (Kylie), Jessica (Elijah), Hayden, Calyssa, Tim (Rachel), Colton (Precious), Breeanna (Errol), Tera, Branden (Jessica), Doug (Jaleesa), Courtney (Justin), Cameron, Emily (Trey), Gracie (Jared), Mikey.
Beloved great-grandchildren: Andre, Nakiyah, Zaniyah, Malani, Aaliyah, Talaya, Nevah, Dakota,Julianna, Lileigh, Noah, Kyler, Brayden, Parker, Ryland, Gracelynn and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Lane; her sons, Michael Lane and Wesley Lane Jr., grandchildren Marc Lane Jr. and Tena Lane, daughter in-law Julie Lane; her parents, George and Zelma Ulrich; her sister, Thelma Barry; and her brothers, Robert Ulrich, George Ulrich, and Jimmy Ulrich.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Deana's love will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. Her warm smile, caring heart, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
Her memory will forever remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kelvin L. Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion ll, with Colton Lane, Tim Lane, Branden Lane, Cameron Lane, Christopher Ford, Justin Fear, Jared Bennett and Elijah Harris serving as pallbearers and Doug Lane serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
