Barbara Sue Snyder

Barbara Sue Snyder passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Gallatin, Tennessee at the age of 74. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on October 27, 1942 to Saylor and Lula Lewis. She married Charles Curtis Snyder, Jr. in June 1959 in Indiana and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2012. She is also preceded in death by her sisters She is survived by her son, Steven (Carrie) Snyder of Greenbrier, Tennessee and her daughter Lisa (Jeff) Gaines of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; four grandsons Steven (Jennafer) Snyder, Jason Snyder, Joshua Gaines, and Aaron Gaines; one sister Mary (Glenn) Noe; two brothers Troy Lewis and Danny (Glenda) Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a devoted wife and mother for 58 years. She and her husband lived in Indiana until the year 2000 and then lived in Florida until Chuck’s death in 2012. They were a loving and devoted couple. After an accident that cost Chuck his right hand, Barbara became his hands for him and they worked on many projects and home renovations together. She loved decorating and remodeling but she also loved her family and her family loved her. She will be deeply missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 421 Woodland Estates Drive Valparaiso, Indiana 46385 on February 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Her final resting place will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Valparaiso with her husband Charles.
